Install the Wi-Fi to Ethernet adapter

  1. Plug the adapter the adapter in the AC power outlet and wait until the Power and Wireless indicators are illuminated continuously.

Setup the Wi-Fi to Ethernet adapter

  1. On a computer, tablet or smartphone go to the Wi-Fi network settings and connect to the network "TP-Link_Extender"
    Nb. On devices with a mobile data connection (ie. smartphones) it may be necessary to disable mobile data in order to access the adapter configuration web page. The Wi-Fi to Ethernet adapter won't have an Internet connection when it is first powered on, which may cause some devices to switch to a different network. You may need to force your device to stay on the selected network to configure the adapter.

  2. Open a web browser on the computer, tablet or smartphone and navigate to http://tplinkrepeater.net

  3. Enter a new password that is in accordance with the customers network security policy, then click “Log In”.

     

  4. Click on the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.

  5. Enter the password in the “Password” field then click “Next”, then click “Confirm”.

     

  6. Click “Next” (To confirm the extended Wi-Fi network name), then click “Done”.

     

Confirm the Wi-Fi to Ethernet adapter operation

Ensure that the RE, Wireless and Power indicators are illuminated continuously, and that the wireless signal strength is sufficient (ie. 2 or more signal strength indicators are illuminated).

Nb. The Ethernet indicator will also illuminate after the Wi-Fi adapter has been connected to the Flow Gateway via an Ethernet cable and the Flow Gateway has been powered on.

Appendix: Factory resetting the Wi-Fi to Ethernet adapter

If there are any issues with the configuration of the Wi-Fi to Ethernet adapter it can be factory reset by following the below procedure, then repeating the setup from step 1.

  1. With the Wi-Fi to Ethernet adapter powered on, use a small screw driver (or pen, pin, paper clip etc.) to press and hold the RESET button (small hole adjacent to the Ethernet port) until the entire ring of blue lights illuminate briefly (approximately 8 seconds).

  2. Release the RESET button and wait the Wi-Fi to Ethernet adapter to reboot to its factory default settings.
